Combined capital expenditures of Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Microsoft in calendar Q4 2027 (USD billions)

Clarifications: This question resolves to the value of the sum, in billions of US dollars, of capital expenditures reported by Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL), Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Meta Platforms Inc. (META) and Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) for the three months ending 31 December 2027. For each company, capital expenditures are the cash outflow reported in the "purchases of property and equipment" line (or the equivalently titled property-and-equipment purchase line) of the consolidated statements of cash flows in the Form 10-Q or 10-K filed on SEC EDGAR covering that quarter; for Microsoft, this is the Form 10-Q for its fiscal quarter ending 31 December 2027. Principal repayments on finance leases reported as a separate financing-activities line are excluded for all four companies. Where a filing reports a year-to-date figure, the quarterly value is derived by subtracting the prior-quarter year-to-date figure from the same fiscal year. The figures as first filed govern; subsequent restatements are disregarded.
